Listening to: 'Disturbia' - Rihanna

If you've taken a look at my personal about page, you'll see in my quick facts box that I blatantly say that all Zunes own ALL iPods. This statement, ladies and gentlemen, is 100% true.

Know why?

Because Microsoft is the shiz.

I don't know about you, but I have serious issues with iPods. Here's my list of the top ten things I can't stand about the Apple iPod:

The turn wheel. It's the most annoying thing on the face of the planet! I constantly manage to go past the song I want! Then when I finally manage to get the song of my choice I try to turn the volume up, but I somehow go to the next song! Grrr!

The album art. It's super, super tiny. I don't know about you, but I love looking at the cover art for a song. In order to see it on an iPod I have to squint really hard and even then I can barely see it.

Everybody on this earth seems to have one. This just adds to my dislike of them.

They're much too expensive for what you get. Zunes manage to give you more storage, cheaper songs in the marketplace, a useable screen size, and a much more durable product for a price that's usually less than that of the iPod of the same class. iPod's trying to run a monopoly on the portable mp3 world, and I just won't have it.

Song price. iPod charges $1 per song. Zune uses a Zune Point System, where you can get 400 points for $5. Songs in the Zune marketplace are about 79 points each, so when you do the math, $5 lets you get 5 songs. Sounds the same, right? Wrong. After buying 5 songs you'll still have poitns left over. So eventually you'll have accumulated enough points to buy a 6th song for only $5. It's like a built-in reward program.

Sharing? As far as I know, standard iPods can't link up with other iPods and share songs and pictures. With the Zune social, which is built into every Zune, you can connect to wireless (which is free) and share songs/pictures with other Zunes. It's great fun if you've got a friend to link up with.

Software. My sister and friends have had ceaseless problems with linking their iPods up to different computers to sync content, only to have their entire media collection wiped out when they connect to another server. Zune immediately asks you what you'd like to do with the new Zune attached to a different computer. 100% hassle-free, and no obsurd settings to change.

The design. I think they look stupid.

Owner. It's made by Apple--I never trust any of their products.

No radio. As far as I've seen in my research, iPods don't have a built-in radio. FM radios are standard on all Zunes--and the sound is of wonderful quality. Yes, you can get an application for radio on the iPod Touch, but it's not like there's an atenna built into your mp3 player like there is with Zune.

Hmm, I know I'm of the minority when I say I dislike iPods, but there it is. I guess to even it out I'll get a few points I do like about iPods over Zunes.

Colors. I think the vibrant colors are cute.

iTunes selection. iTunes may be a pain, but they do offer just about every song known to man.

Accessories. Along with their monopoly of mp3 players comes, of course, a monopoly on all the cool accessories. I have to practically search hours to find anything meant for the Zune.

iTunes gift cards. They're sold practically everywhere. Zune marketplace cards are hard to find comparatively.

I could only think of 4. But it was worth a shot, right?

What brought this whole debate into my head was the fact the Zune HD is going to be released September 15! I'm saving my money up and selling my current Zune and my mom's old one to buy one sometime mid-October--I'm super excited!

15 DAYS UNTIL MY 16TH BIRTHDAY!
