It is officially a dark comedy about Gay assassins, Baby sellers, Denny's and much more. Usually the criticism that I get the most about my projects is that my films go in all different directions because my mind has all these ideas. I need to learn how to filter them so that the script is nice, clean, and organized. I have been studying Tarantino and the Coen brothers' films because they are the epitome of funny, dialogue heavy, and extremely well structured scripts.

My roommate was wearing lingerie when I got home and blasting rihanna. She told me that she misses her boyfriend and proceeded to crack open another bruskey. I counted 6 beer caps on the counter. She went back into her room started playing the blues on her ipod and began talking and laughing to herself. Should I be worried?
My house is a mad house. Just now Hannah decided to do hanging sit ups on our pull up bar and almost fell and broke her neck. After that she challenged jess to a head stand contest! She also had about 8 cups of coffee today. Since it's Sunday Jess brought pizza home from work. In college life, Pizza + No Cooking + Not spending $ = Best day of the week! 4 of us at 2 mediums in under 6 minutes. I like to think of our little family as a pack of hyenas.
Spunky

Well today was interesting. It was about 20 degrees outside, snow was on the ground, and there were blue skies as far as the eye could see. For some odd reason I feel the most beautiful when it is cold out. I think it brings out the non-existent color in my cheeks and makes the fairness of my complexion glow. I can honestly say that in the summer I am not at my best. I do not tan! When the sun bounces off my skin it can cause eye damage, and I'm pretty sure it's visible from space.

On a sad note on my way driving to class I saw a lump in the middle of the road and then an animal running away from it. It was freezing and I was already late for class so I avoided it and went my merry way. My script went well in script class. I drove back home and got out of the car to see if the lump was still there. It was and get this: It was a kitty! The poor thing had a mushed head and crooked neck. S/he was most definitely dead. I was hit with a jolt of guilt. Was I perhaps the one that had crushed the little guy? Or if not, if I had stopped before class and took a look might I have been able to save it? I thought that the most respectful thing I could do at the moment was get it out of the road and put it somewhere safe, possibly bury it. I grabbed my roomie Jess from the house and we scooped up the cat with a shovel. Out of respect S/he was named Spunky. We placed Spunky by our compost and covered him with snow. Unfortunately we couldn't bury old Spunky because the ground is frozen, so Spunky will have to wait for a little grave

This Blog entry is dedicated to Spunky:

We barely knew ye.
(GRUNT)

I am not very happy right now. In fact I am a little disheartened. It is common if not obvious knowledge that I am a gigantic Heroes fan. I had emailed my fellow fan girl Brea Grant (who works on the show) to see if there were available internships. She was newer and unfamiliar with the process so she just gave a few suggestions and cheered me on. I was pretty thrilled. It felt like this dream was actually possible.

Well I am a twitter friend with another actor on the show (aptly named Grunny.) I asked him the same question and he told me that there were interns lined up for years. How the hell can they do that?! I do not understand in the least. When the show came out I was a freshman in college. The people who signed up then must have already been established in school as upperclassmen (you cannot be an intern unless you are a junior or above usually.) Does that not mean that they will already be graduates when they get their turn? It's not fair. Heroes should choose their interns seasonally like everybody else. Because of this bogus choice of theirs other people will not get an opportunity to work on such a phenomenal and I bet educational show.

As per usual I will not let some "rules" hinder my determination. I will call Universal Media studios until either they change their number or I get an internship on Heroes. I hope they're ready!

Salsa

Just made some homemade salsa for the first time and it is a hit! Eating fresh tomatoes just makes my body feel wonderful and oh so invigorated!

So this weekend and the following week is going to be super busy for me. We are doing the re-shoot for our Eyes wide Shut scene and there are so many more aspects to consider this time around. Multiple shoots on different days. It's difficult being a 2 person crew. We do everything. we schedule, do costumes, set decoration, lights, cinematography, sound engineering, direct, storyboard, edit, sound edit... I always wonder how professionals do it and then I remember that the average crew is at least 200 people. I think that this is both a good and bad thing. On one hand you have more time to focus on directing (or whatever your specialty is.) On the other you aren't very self-reliant and have way way way less creative control. No thanks. I would rather do it all myself or with a small group of trusted comrades. I am such a Robert Rodriguez groupie it ain't even funny. The man knows how to do it the right way! He has complete creative control, gets to direct his own screenplays, and chooses who he works with. Someday I hope that's me. As R.R wrote in my autograph "Keep At It!" Oh I will sir, I will!

JAZ

p.s Danny Elfman and Robert Rodriguez and crew are the best composers. they could definitely do the soundtrack to my life if I ever needed one!

Currently Reading:
Coraline Graphic Novel
Neil Gaiman
see related

Currently Listening To:
Grindhouse: Planet Terror

see related
