Good Morning Ladies,

Yesterday I didn't get a chance to stop by the shop. It is the day I drive to IL. with Windy for an agility lesson. I did talk to Melody and she told me there is a big paper cut order that arrived in yesterday.Stamp on in and check it out.

I will be doing another demo tomorrow. Don't forget I always do a drawing for all who watch the demo. Stop by and see what I have in store for you.

I saw my first fall leaf yesterday. It was so beautiful. Like a painting from a tree. Soon we will all be out raking and having fun with our little ones. Don't forget to grab you camera for all the events of fall. Pumpkin patch.....beautiful fall scenes in your town....jumping in the leaves....apple picking....

Here are two more samples....

For this card I used two of the new Jennie Bowlin papers layered on an a 2 card. I added two end cuts and a vellum saying. I attached the vellum with flower brads. To top this card off with stamped and colorized flowers. A saying makes a perfect and easy card.

I love playing with feathers ....beads...charms... This card had beads and feathers. I stamped an Indian image and colorized it with brush markers. I cut out a vellum saying. The background mats are from coordenations. To make my feather embellishment I used the african fiber. I wrapped and notted this around the feathers. I used waxed beading cord to attatch the beads. I tied this into the feather bundle. To attach this embellishment to the front of the card I used the scrap dots and zip dry. I love the artsy feel of this card.

I encourage you to try something new in embellishment. Try a feather bundle. You can use a feather bundle in many ways. I used mine on a native american card, but feathers also go well with fantasy images, bird images, show girl or dancer images. Let your mind go wild and see what you come up with to wow your firiends and family.

Well....off to cook Sam's breakfast....

Happy Scraps,
Mrs. Swandog

Good Morning Ladies,

Just a wee bit chilly outside this morning. Has caused me to slow down a bit.

I stopped in the store yesterday. The make and take was way cool. Just another way to go a little bit greener. Melody has the tote bags avalible for a greener you too. Just ask about them when you stamp on in.

I guess I didn't get there quite soon enough. As a few stamps came in and I missed them all. I did snag some of the new christmas paper. I love the flocked ones and the one with foil. The matching brads are awesome, as well as the Christmas keys.

Here is a sample for you today...

I created this card with a pre-scored card from the paper cut. I covered the outside and inside flaps with the Moxie halloween cardstock. I then added images from the Sunday International halloween set. Three brads set off the wording. Inside I tucked in pumpkins from Inkadinkado, more brads and cardstock. Sure to delight the little spooks in my life.

I didn't mention yesterday that my turkey breast turned out great. Another meal I can add to my on the move reciepes. That doesn't happen very often. LOL

Well....the clock is chiming...so it's off to cook Sam's breakfast....

Happy Scraps,
Mrs. Swandog

That is a good thing.

I'm wondering what Melody has cooked up for make and take today?

Those of you who have purchased the new magic embossing powder from sparkle and sprinkle let me know how it is. I have it but have not had a chance to try it yet. So give me your feed back in the comment section of the blog or discussion board.

Here are a couple of samples for you today....

This card and the next card were sent to me from a swapper from across the country. I don't know the name of the company. But they are very cute and spoke to me. On this card I colorized the image with brush markers. I then used four mats to use as a base. The mats are from the summer collection from the papercut and cooredinations. I used the bling from basic grey. Quick easy cute card.

I colorized this image with brush markers.
Good Morning Ladies,

I'm back. I was sooo tired yesterday. Too much party.....too little sleep.

This morning I got up and started a new adventure in cooking. I made a call to my mom from the grocery store yesterday. She was gone. I did get my dad on the horn though. My question was can I put a turkey breast into the crock pot. His answer was Yes. So I bought the turkey breast. I called my mom back last night to get specific directions. So already this morning I have cut up potatoes. I put my turkey breast in the crock pot along with the potatoes and a bag of mini carrots. Now we will see if we have anything fit to eat tonight. If not my hubby can always fire up the grill and do burgers and brats again.

Melody and I did have some time yesterday to look at new stamp companies. I think we have one picked. So now all we have to do is make time to make the connections and place an order. I think you guys are really gonna like this one.

Don't forget make and take tomorrow. Also there looks to be another demo on Saturday morning. Just a heads up.

There were little kids who were at the party on Sunday. They got here and I thought I have no toys for little kids. But left to their own devices they found one of Windy's frisbee's and one her balls and the game was on. Windy didn't seem to mind.

My dad went to an auction on Sunday and brought back a few thing for me to use for altered art. Box lots at an auction are great for altered art. We have a lot of auctions in our area all the time. They are worth the time to check them out and see if there is anything you can use. Most of the time the stuff we want to alter no one else wants so it sells low. Bargins galore!

Well.....off to cook Sam's breakfast....

Happy Scraps,
Mrs. Swandog

Good Morning Ladies,

It is a chilly one this morning.

Windy and I had a great time at the doggie demo at the mall yesterday. It's always great fun to be with your friends doing something you love to do.

I am getting ready for Sam's birthday party this morning. We are having a small cookout with family at noon. Sam is 17 this year. My how time flies. It seems like just yesterday that he was a little tyke having peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch.

I have a couple of samples for you today.....

Here is another journal.....This one features a horse and cowyboy boots stamped images. I colorized them with copic markers. On the horse for the white portions I used crystal laquer. I added ribbons for the tassel on the tag. The rick rack is burlap. This trim came from the fabric store. The saying is a cardstock sticker. Denim and bandana paper is the base. To top this journal off I used red open star brads. Journal away....

This is a paper mache' Christmas ornament. I covered the front and back with Kaiser paper. I then sanded off the extra edges. It doesn't show but on the edge I place tacky tape and glitter. Yes here is that unicorn image again. I like to get a lot of mileage out of my stamps. I attached the unicorn image. It is stamped and embossed in black. I used brush markers to colorize the mane and tail. Stickles for the horn and crystal laquer for the body. To top this ornament off I added purple feathers. Feathers just seemed fitting for a unicorn. I will try to remember to take this to the store so you can get a closer look.

Well .....off to place an order for Mel....

Happy Scraps,
Mrs. Swandog

So I won't be around the store today.

New product is in ....so stamp on in and check it out. The christmas paper is to die for.

Here is a sample for you....

I am loving to use the glitter paper for scrapbook page backgrounds. On this page I used one of the Kaiser collections for my mats journaling and embellishments. I also added ribbon and rhinestones. I inked the edges of the mats and paper embellishments with chalk ink. The stamped images are the main focal point of the page. The door image is from Stampinks and the doggie is from dog stamps plus. I colorized the door image with copic markers and the dee grunig mettalic pen. The doggie is stamped and embossed in black and then I added glossy accents over the top. I use this to add something to my white on animals.

I know this is short....but off to shower...

Happy Scraps,
Mrs. Swandog

Good Morning Ladies,

I spoke to Melody yesterday and she told me the Sparkle and Sprinkle order came in. I was so busy ripping up and down the road I didn't have a chance to stop in.

I went to bed early last night. I was so tired I couldn't keep my eyes open. I did sleep very sound.

I haven't done any cooking at all this week. My evenings have been tied up and I did not get home until almost 10 three nights so far. Good thing my hubby is the grill master. LOL

Here are a couple of samples for you....

This baby card is made with the new Jenni Bowlin designer series paper and shimmer text paper from the paper cut. I triple matted the baby buggy image. The image is embossed in gold with glitter for the bow. I added flower brads and the saying welcome to the world.

This card is also made using the new Jenni Bowlin designer series paper. I chose two papers from the collection to make this card. I took one sheet of the paper and cut out the butterflies. I then added crystal laquer to the wings and sprinkled glitter over it. I then took a glass slide from ranger and added a rub on. I took the glass slide and added tacky tape and rolled it in glitter. To top this card off I added a wide ribbon tied in a knot.

My hubby, son and I went outside last night to take a look at the space station in the sky. It was very cool. It looked like a very large, bright star moving very quickly over the horizon. I am going to have to journal this.

Well....off to cook Sam's breakfast....

Happy Scraps,
Mrs. Swandog
