http://backinthedayskateclub.webs.com/myblog.htm Freewebs http://backinthedayskateclub.webs.com/myblog.htm?blogentryid=810215 I finally made it to Hot-lanta for Joi's annual Skate-a-thon.  I had so much fun despite some of obstacles I encountered.   I personally like to get to the rink early so that I can actually get skate the way I like and not defensive skating that you have to do when a rink gets overcrowded.  I also like to get a  locker cuz I'm not down with leaving my stuff unattended.  It was a real joy seeing all the different styles of skating.  I was really impressed with long roll call and seeing the skaters that all skated backwards around the rink.  I was pissed about the song for Michigan (Doing It In The Park).  That is not a roll call - rep your state song.  Who gets to pick the music anyway?  Next time we need to record several songs and end it with a song we can do an open house on and slide are asses off.
