How does the autobiography relate to the heroes quotation?

From his autobiography I learned more about his personality and his history before he became what he is now. I also learned his way of thinking, a bit of his personality and about his surrounding. This in turn helps me to analyze him thus enabling me to relate him and the quote.

What are two or three areas in which your hero has chosen an infinite capacity for stupidity?

A few areas or values of my hero that I think can be classified as 'stupid' is for one, his decision to throw away his job in order to pursue his dream. Although I admire the spirit, the logical part of me thinks it is a stupid idea. Mainly because the insecurity of whether he can achieve the dream or not. Then again, there are no gains if there are no loss. That quality of his makes me realize this. One other area of his is that his creativity and wide sense of knowledge. I must say that learning too many subjects can be quite tiring, and some deem it worthless and it is better to concentrate with one subject at a time. But Tony did not do that. Even though he has a degree for accountings he works on the musical side. Most people would say, that kind of act is stupid, but having wide range and knowledge and skills has proven to be the X-factor in order to succeed in life, as they say to do big things you need to have big brain, and big brain can be only be obtained by learning.

If you look at him once, you would think he is just a normal entrepreneur. But as the saying goes never judge a book by it's cover.

I would label him as a creative entrepreneur, and very much versatile. He got his style in doing business and these quality makes him different from others. He worked hard in establishing Air Asia, which in a way, revolutionized the airline industry across Asia.

His idea of budget no-frills airlines and his tag line, “Now everyone can fly,” has certainly made an impact to people. Statistic has shown that more people are using the airplane to travel domestically. This also brings an impact in the tourism industry as more foreigners can travel in Malaysia or to Malaysia at a surprisingly low cost. No wonder Air Asia is labeled as the pioneer in the low cost airline industry.

His life before the entrepreneurship fascinates me. He have the skills as well as the brain to excel. For example, after he graduated from London University he worked briefly as an auditor at Virgin Atlantic, and then became a financial controller for Richard Branson's, Virgin Records.

That's not all. Upon his return to Malaysia, he became the youngest ever managing director of Warner Music Malaysia. He is also one of the people responsible in making a revolution in Malaysian music industries especially in ethnic music, nasyid and dangdut.

He left his position as the South East Asian regional vice-president to pursue his dream of establishing Air Asia, and he still presses on making his dream comes true even though before, the government rejected his idea. Nevertheless, he manages to make his dream come true.

To sum up, his quality that makes me think him as a hero is his creativity, and his way of thinking. Not to mention his guts to press on in making his dream come true. That alone shows how a great person he is and shows how much struggle he has been through in order to be at where he is now. Nothing can beat a person with a determination, and he has proven it to be very much, a truth of life.

The Morning

I woke up at 6am today and i can sense that my life is going to changed from now on.I can't believe that finally im going to further my studies into a university.It's full of excitement and nervous all around me.It's like you going to step into a new world which u never been there before.My parents said that college life is the best moment of your life before you getting to work,married and so on.Hmm,it's ok to be worried so it will keep you sharp!.So i must think positively and let's have some fun today.

 The Orientation-Still Morning

Transferring into a new university is not that easy.So that's why they having the orientation's to make the new students to know everything about Taylor's as well to make more friends and communicate with the lecturer.Orientation is important to attend because they will give you all the information that you need for being in the campus such as the facilities,equipments,the lecturers and so other things.In the same time you can make a bunch of new friends when you're having the campus tour with the seniors =P

 A Little Bit Morning after The Orientation

The 1st part of the orientation is finish.So it's the break time.Still,i was plenty nervous.Being alone is not a good option and still,it's the orientation time.I've been wandering around the campus for awhile.After a few minutes of walking,finally i met a guy name Azrin.He's my very 1st friend in Taylor's.He's a good person and he live around here so that he show me around the campus facility and so the subang area such as the restaurants,hang-outs spots and alot more.Thanks to him =)

The Last Day of The Orientation

Phew,finally it's the last day of the orientation.I had made alot of friends along the week.So i guess,the REAL new life is starting next monday where i'll be start my lecture and tutorials.

Fairuz.Currently 17 turning 18 this Dec :D It's good to be 17 still even in College because i feel young eventhough there's my coursemate who is younger than me :( . Cheng An,yeah that's his name.same class also :D . Im a pure gamers.Yes i am.Yeah yeah i am.But one day,im gonna make a business with games and so with Tourism and Hospitality.Ooohhh im from Kajang,Selangor.Forgot to tell ler.huahua.Im not a good talker especially when i wanted to ask question from lecturer :X . So i keep my 'ego'(just like miss Tham said).Perhaps,i'll try to be braver next time xP just give me some time! But seriously,if i duno then i will ask many times.of coz la not same thing what hahaha.

im not good at talking with girls bout things they like =(  but but i do love typing instead(sms etc) of having a conversation with them =.i duno why lol.

What do you understand from this quote?

Not all heroes are a perfect being. Heroes are usually labeled as stupid as they knows no limit of something. Thus they can make something big, and become a hero, intentionally or not.

Take Newton for an example. If a normal people experienced the same situation when he triggered the idea of gravity, perhaps they would just complain and get angry. They would even eat the apple.

Some say always asking means he or she is stupid, but think again. Being stupid or asking question makes a person more intelligent.

What is your definition of a hero?

For me hero is someone that have made a change in something to a better, like in community, way of life, mindset or just helping out people that needs help. The term hero is universal as the definition that makes up hero is vast. Even villains can be a hero. Hitler is a hero to certain people even after what he had done. Al-Qaeda is a hero to some ultra-nationalist or hard necked-Islamist, but a villain to the Americans. Even a romantic person can also be called romantic hero.

Even someone that commits suicide now is called hero in the Internet as 'an hero', though the term serves more as a joke.

But the term heroes these days means almost nothing, as the hero people are trying to be is not what a real hero is.

What does ‘an infinite capacity for stupidity’ mean to you?

As said above, sometimes, or perhaps most of the time heroes defies logic and go beyond the limit, not thinking properly. But this is actually a good thing. People who thinks outside the box are the only ones that can achieve great things.

All of the ingenious inventions made are mostly made based on idiotic ideas. As they say, idiocy gives birth too ingenuity.

For example, the invention of airplane. The idea comes from a stupid idea of human longing to fly in the sky. Many people had tried to make that imagination to come true, and some of them succeed, like the Wright Brothers.

From the duck feathers sticked onto the arms to the glider, like Albatross II.

And then come the conventional airplane and jets like we can see now.

 How do you think this quality makes one a hero?

As said above, stupidity. The ability to question, and determination is important. There is also a need of charisma as to lead the people, being a hero has it responsibilities. One more important thing is strength, not physically but mentally. Being a hero means being a public figure, and as such expect people to stick their eyes closely. Sometimes admiration is a bad thing, and breeds jealousy.

Though, the basis of a hero is virtue, and having a principle plus standing by to it. That what makes a hero special.
