Another wonderful day at the Owl.
Cheryl and Greg came up from Pennsylvania,
Harry rode his Harley down Route 89.
Bob and Ted kept the fun and Pinot Noir flowing.
It was a bit chilly, but the deck was full of happy people most all day.
Janet and I enjoyed a great dinner at the Golden Buck, accompanied by Greg and Cheryl.
Beautiful evening drive on the way home.
We saw this guy at sunset planting his fields.  I think he as the right idea...



]]> http://bobwalpole.webs.com/bobsblog.htm?blogentryid=3474827 2008-5-25T09:20:00-0100 <![CDATA[Deck Season at Thirsty Owl]]> There comes a time every year in the Finger Lakes when the sun gets warmer, the vines are greener, the water is bluer, people seem happier, and we go outside a lot to enjoy the beautiful weather.   When I lived in San Diego I had no idea how intense and wonderful this season could be, especially after living through a long and cold winter.  I can smell the aroma of fresh cut grass and feel a cool breeze coming from Lake Ontario.  The van is gassed up and packed with my equipment.  I am ready!

It's deck season!

Today I will be performing, facing an amazing view of vineyards, lake and beyond, while in the foreground happy people will be enjoying great wine, food, and each other's company.

How great is that?!
