Have you ever visited a famous place? (i.e. Washington D.C., Mt. Rushmore, Grand Canyon, etc.)

I have been to Mt. Rushmore. We stop on our way back from the south. big grin I have also been to Disny land but I was really little and don't remeber much. I would love to go to the Great lakes, Red Woods, Grand Canyon, and there was one more but I can't remeber what it was. I will remeber another time and tell you then. smile The only other place I would like to got to is Ireland, but all of that take a lot of money so it will more then less likey not happen. O well, if that is what God wants I am more then ok with it.smile Byt he way Cari is there any were you whant to go? Sorry that this is so long.smileunsure

I have visited the Grandcanion when I was little My mom ,sister, aunt, Grandma, and I went to missouri to visit Samantha and we stopped there. My mom has been to Washington D.C. but I have never.big grinbig grinbig grin

Yes, I've been to many "famous" places all over the U.S. as well as Russia, Greece, and Israel. There are too many for me to list individually. I love to travel and see new places as well as enjoy familiar locations that I've been to many times, like the Oregon Coast or Butchart Gardens in Victoria, B.C.

I dry roses does that count. if it doesn't I guess I collect old neclaces and stuff.big grinunsuresmileroll

Aunt Debbie:
I started collecting spoons when I was 9 years old and continue to do that today at age 35. They are a great way to remember the places I've traveled to over the years.

 

Sarah Anne:
I collect old books. I'm not sure how many I have but one dates back to 1898. It's called Melodyby Laura E. Richardsbig grin

I don't collect any thing. I just don't have a want to do it.

I do not have any 'official' collections, but when I was younger, I was into stamps. Now, I am very gradually trying to collect buttons. I thought there was something else, but I can't think of what it was. I'll post it later if I remember.

What is your favorite animal (including it's breed, if it has one)?  Or, to rephrase it: What kind of animals do you like?

I don't know if I have a favorite animal I like many,and I don't like all of one kind only some. such as dogs I realy like our dog Lady but I don't like others. And I really liked all 8 cats we have had over the years but ther are cat that I don't like.And I like the brown horses that are down the street from here but not the black ones. So I like lots of animal.big grin

Here is this week's question:

If you could add just one more face onto Mt. Rushmore, whose would it be (and why)?  This question was asked in my geography and I thought it was a very interesting and thought-provoking one.  Just to review: the faces up there already are of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.  Also, have you ever been to Mt. Rushmore?  And one more... Which person that is represented up there already do you like or admire the most (and why)?  You may answer any or all of the questions asked above; lets make this interesting!  :)

I agree with Samantha. I would add stonewall Jackson.
The one i admire most would hva to be George washington, and not just because he's popular umong people. because he was a great leader. he had to be voted in not just take over. And of course he was homeschooled.And is another example of homeschooling.

That is a hard question. I can only answer one right now. How I would add to Mount Rushmore. I think I would add Stonewall Jackson.I know that people say he was on the wrong side, but I am not sure if he was. I think that he was the best general in history, he had amazing faith, he had a wonderful example of a great marriage, and was a great man in every way that I know of. So I think I would put him up there. But I am not a 100% sure.
