A Tiny Update

Hey Everyone!

It's been awhile, though for some strange reason I don't think that really matters cause not many people check out my site, but for those who might wanna see or hear what's new; here we go.

I'm into the 6th module for my art history courses at AAU and that means I'm half way through, phew.. I forgot how much I disliked "regular" school and it's been kinda tough having to write term papers and everything, I forgot how much I hated doing those things, I'm spending all day Thursday trying to get it done because next week I'm supposed to be taking a trip to Niagara Falls, but who knows.

Monday also started class 1 for Animation Mentor. Man oh man has it been extremely crazy the past three days. There is so much information to take in and not much time to take any of it in; and I'm not even working! Maybe I'm just slow or something. But I've got that excited yet extremely nervous feeling going on; I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about -- a kind of adrenaline rush. Had my first Q&A with my mentor last night, it's supposed to be 30 mins, but we all stayed for 2 hrs, it was crazy, fun, and enlightening. My mentor for class one is Bryan Engram, and he's freaking awesome. He works at ReelFX and it's a directing animator there, they've done things such as Open Season 2 which will be out soon I believe, and many commercials for Blue Sky, Shrek, and tons of others.

Other than that I suppose there's not much to really relay to everyone. Oh, wait, I saw Wall-E and man was I impressed; I'm not going to say anything if you haven't seen it yet, but I was really shocked that they did something like that which has never been done by PIXAR, at first I was kinda like this isn't a good thing to try, but they managed to make it all fit so I got used to it and thought it was a great way for them to push themselves further and push the envelope. Another winner for PIXAR for sure, and the short before the movie was undeniably my favorite one of all time!! The animation was just magnificient!! I hope to one day be able to produce work like that!!

Until next time,
Keep making it move!

Bill

Exciting News! Well, at least I think so!

Well guess what! I'm excited! hahahahah...I guess you'd all like to know WHY I'm so giddy today?! The answer is simple; I got accepted into the AnimationMentor.com animation program! I'm so happy, I've been leaning more and more towards character animation because I don't have the kind of time to dedicate to rigging, and well AnimationMentor is the place for me to go because it focus solely on trying to make you the best animator possible! So, I start in June I believe, which is awesome! But I'll fill you all in on the details once more arrive and what I will be working on and what not! I'm sorry that every sentence has an exclaimation point! It's just I'm THAT..um..stoked!! I didn't think I'd get in because they have limited seats and pick and choose who gets to attend based on passion, perseverance, and personality, so I'm glad I made the cut this late in the game!

Best,
